Il velluto torna alla ribalta più grintoso che mai e invade il guardaroba di stagione all’insegna del colore. Tessuto estremamente versatile, in piena armonia con la stagione invernale, sarà uno dei must haves di questo autunno inverno 2020-21!

La sua consacrazione in passerella arriva nei Novanta, ma la sua storia e il suo impiego hanno radici decisamente più profonde. Il termine velluto deriva dal latino Vellus, vello, parola che descrive il manto dei capi bestiame. La sua origine è occidentale e si stima sia avvenuta verso la fine del XIII secolo. Questo aristocratico tessuto era prodotto soprattutto in Italia ( Catanzaro, Genova, Lucca, Venezia e Firenze ).

Quest’anno il velluto, nella sua versione liscia, sarà il protagonista indiscusso : vestiti lunghi e corti. Blazers, pantaloni, gonne e accessori. Gli stilisti dicono di sì al velluto, alle frange, ai tagli di sbieco e orli asimmetrici. I colori? Non solo sfumature scure, come il classico nero, il blu notte o il bordeaux, ma diverse varianti colore : giallo senape, verde smeraldo, rosso rubino e viola.

VELVET TUXEDO

Un outfit che ha fatto epoca, simbolo della moda Unisex è senza ombra di dubbio Il completo maschile in velvet rosso indossato da Gwyneth Paltrow agli MTV Music Awards del 1996. La creazione di Tom Ford, era un completo tuxedo, formato da un blazer monopetto e da un paio di pantaloni dritti profilati in seta ton sur ton. Nel dicembre 2020, Gal Gadot, ha indossato e riproposto un look gemello firmato Saint Laurent. Non trovate che sia pazzesco?

VELVET BLAZER

Il blazer di velluto è un evergreen. Complice il tessuto effetto deluxe, che dona un tocco vintage anni 70 ad ogni outfit. Come abbinare questo favoloso capo spalla? Con un paio di jeans, una t-shirt bianca e un paio di ankle boots! Se invece preferite rendere meno noioso un look total black, una giacca di velluto in un colore acceso è la scelta migliore. Blu cobalto, Fucsia, Senape o verde smeraldo: il “contrast effect” è assicurato! Per le più romantiche invece, un velvet blazer, meglio se lavorato o a stampa Jacquard, e un abito midi. Il tocco in più? Un lupetto sopra l’abito che spunta dal blazer!

Gli abiti in velluto sono una certezza in fatto di stile ed eleganza. Da quelli lunghi, fil rouge di molte collezioni, a quelli in versione mini o midi, hanno conquistato il cuore di molte It girls e celebrities. Perché? La risposta è molto semplice: perché è un tessuto che ha la capacità di “trasformarsi” e “adattarsi” a qualsiasi look. Un esempio? Per le più nostalgiche, un abito midi, dal sapore retrò, con un paio di silk socks e high heels sandals, mentre per le più rock, mini dress abbinato ad un paio di Chelsea boots…a voi la scelta!

Its consecration on the catwalks came in the nineties, but its history and its use have much deeply rooted. The term velvet derives from the Latin Vellus, fleece, a word that describes the coat of cattle. Its origin is western and is estimated to have occurred towards the end of the thirteenth century. This aristocratic fabric was produced mainly in Italy (Catanzaro, Genoa, Lucca, Venice and Florence).

This year velvet, in its smooth version, will be the undisputed star: mini and midi dresses. Blazers, pants, skirts and accessories. Designers say yes to velvet, fringe, bias cuts and asymmetrical hems. Colors? An outfit that has made epoch, a symbol of Unisex fashion , is definitely The red velvet men’s suit worn by Gwyneth Paltrow at the MTV Music Awards in 1996. Tom Ford’s creation it was a tuxedo suit, combined of a single-breasted blazer and a pair of straight pants profiled in ton sur ton silk.
